Vodacom
Second hand phone

Telecommunications

I have upgraded to a NEW Blackberry 9900, and realised after a few days that 2 bottons/numbers on the left hand bottom corner are stuck and do not move when pressed. Unfortunately it was only discovered after the 7 day period due to me moving to another house, only the old phone was used. I feel that the manufacturer has not done the necessary Quality Control on the phone to ensure proper functioning of all the numbers, or the Vodashop has sold me a second hand phone instead. I also feel that the 7 day period should only apply to software and electronic issues and not mechanical faults like mine.

I have called the Vodashop in Centurion and Vodacom itself, and they refuse to issue me a new phone, but insist that I send it in for repairs. I have paid for a new phone and not a second hand phone that needs repairs, and therefore demand a new phone from Vodashop Centurion.
