While I was overseas the Cell C agent called to inform me that I've used about R500 exciding my contract (R299) due to roaming costs. Which was surprising as I've always used free Wi-Fi spots. However I've thanked and said that this amount is still ok due to my return to South Africa in 1 day, which was on 14June. On the 1 July I was expecting to be debited with the contract amount of R299. Instead I've received sms saying that I've reached my monthly usage limit and my line is suspended for outgoing calls. My balance check showed R2.285, 83. I've contacted Customer Centre & was told that amount of R808 has been settled and my account will be activated. I've asked confirmation via email, which I never received. Later I went to Cavendish Branch where I've spent 1, 5 hours trying to get info as to what is actually happening. Nobody could really help me. I feel misinformed and don't trust the service provider anymore. My logged query with legal department today is still unattended to.
