Every few years MTN suspends my account. My MTN account payments goes off on debit order from my credit card, and when my credit card expires MTN still lets the account run for a further 3 months, running me into debt.

When I realize they have suspended me I make every effort to call them to update my new credit card details and to settle the outstanding amount.

Every time I contact them it becomes a nightmare, having to hold the line for 30min then when you manage to speak to a human he transfers you to someone else, then you get cut off and have to repeat the whole process again, eventually you forget and give up.

I've been through this tiring process for the past few months and have given up, so now MTN's lawyers Munnik Basson Dagama Inc. sent me a letter for payment.
I don't agree with the amount of R8513.70 cause my account was suspended for months, I couldn't even use my phone.

Last week I phoned the lawyers and asked them to explain how they got to this amount, they said I must speak to MTN, but MTN call centre cannot see my account info cause its with the lawyers.
So then I phoned MTN again, MTN told me to speak to legal, then got cut off again SO WHAT MUST I DO NOW??
