A friend of mine took out a contract on 17 April 2013. As I understand
it, a phone with a fault can be exchanged within 7 days. Anytime
after that it will be sent off for repairs. No problem. What is a
problem though, is the fact that the phone was taken into the shop on
4 June, but only received by the repair centre on 20 June. This was
eventually established by contacting the repair centre ourselves. I
have heard various excuses from the same person at the shop ever since
I have started calling to find out when the phone could be expected
back, e.g. Repair centre offline. Lost my number. He is very busy.
The last was that it is probably the courier company's fault. He
promised every time that he will find out what is happening and then
call me back. He never did. I had to keep haunting him for answers
which I still don't really have. How does this happen, and what is
going to be done about it? The problem is not the time taken at a
repair centre (2 to 3 weeks), it is all the tap-dancing. Adding to
the frustration is the fact that the phone at the shop just rang on 2
occasions without being answered. What now? Just wait?
