Because of all the bad service and hour long waits on Telkom's customer care line i decided to migrate my ADSL Line to Afrihost in April 2013. But i needed to cancell my active contract with Telkom first... so when i phoned them to inform them to cancell my contract and justto keep my line with them, I was informed that as an incentive to keep my line with them they are offering me a 25% discount on my ADSL Line... which i accepted as who would not... Since then i ahve been unable to migrate as there was some active contract on my ADSL line... today i found out that the 25% discount i was offered is actually a contract for 12 months..!!! No in order to cancell that contract so I can migrate my ADSL Line, i am being penalised with the remainder of this contract period.. which is close to R300..!!! this is totally absurd and ridiculous and that is one of the reasons i want as little to do with Telkom as possible!!!
