Update my credit profile at the credit bureaux

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN AT CELL C:
I discovered this morning when I checked my Transunion credit report that my account with Cell C, which I closed two years ago is still open. The account's status is 'open account without credit line'. Please Cell C update this account with the various credit bureaux and mark it 'paid up and closed'. I am in the process of applying for a home loan and do not want an unnecessarily open account against my name like this because it affects my credit standing. Why was this account left open when I made it clear that I do not want any cellphone contract anymore?
