Unable to use data at all not getting statement

1. A few days ago I received a message to "update my carrier settings". Since then, I have been unable to use my data to access any internet/internet related services (whatsapp, etc). I used to have a massive problem with the 3G, but was able to turn this off and rely on Edge (how odd that THIS was faster & more reliable!). I now cannot turn off 3G anymore & cannot use my data at all- even phone calls are effected. (I switch off wifi & this does not help). In addition to this massive inconvenience, my battery life is now about 2hrs. It depletes at a rate I find unbelievable, even without my using my phone at all. I close all my apps, I switch off location services & yet the battery % decreases by 20% every 20-30mins. Proposed solution: give me back my previous carrier settings!
2. I am still, despite exhaustive requests, not receiving a bill. Legally I am entitled to this. I received all my bills (a few months worth) when I last complained, but now I have not received my most recent statement.
Come on Cell C, up your game.
