Misleading advertisement

I saw this advert about trade in, I have an iPhone 4s then I went to the vod. Outlet to enquire, the first consultant said yes I can do it and she referred me to another one who advised me that I need to have no existing contract or I must be due for an upgrade. That still does not make sense to me because nowhere in the advert does it mention that. My handset is still new and well looked after I believe that it can still sell for over R4000 if not R5000, I would rather wait for my upgrade maybe I'll be interested in something else by then or go look for a cheaper subscription somewhere else for an iPhone 5.
