Problem with Samsung Galaxy S 4

I received my brand new Samsung Galaxy S 4 on the 1st of May 2013. As a new Cell C customer i was really excited to be the owner of this new phone. I was informed that if my phone gives problems within 7 days i can return it to Cell C and I will be provided with a new phone. The first 7 days the phone worked very good. As time went by my phone became more and more slower and if anyone phones me my phone gets so warm that I cannot hold it against my ear. During this same month, my employer informed me that they cannot contact me on my phone from a land line. I informed Cell C about this and it took almost two weeks to rectify. I went to the aforementioned branch one month and 2 days from commencing with my new contract. The person helping me said that he must check whether the problem with my phone is my phone or the service provider. That does not even make sense. I was told to come back the following day and bring with me a phone that I can use for the time when the phone will be booked in. The next day I waited 20 minutes, even though I was standing first in the que. Now i am paying for the new phone and I don't even have it in my possession.
