Faulty Phone (s3)

Telecommunications

My 2 month old Samsung S3's LCD recently stopped working.
From the get go the phones screen would go green, blue and sometime off. I accredited it to Facebook bombing out as quite often I would get a message saying that the facebook application had crashed.
On the 5th of May the phones LCD completely stopped working. The touch worked (I could unlock the phone), and the phone was turning on and off. The only fault was that the LCD was black.
I took the phone it to the MTN store and they sent it in.
When the phone came back I was told that the phone has liquid damage and that they would not repair it.

What concerns me is that I have never, ever, exposed my phone to water in any way. The phone was 2 months and 3 days old when it broke. It is in immaculate condition. It is kept in a protective case, handled with extreme care and really looked after.

I cannot understand how the phone can have liquid damage if I have not exposed it to water. Where did it come from then?

I have already cut down on things to be able to afford this contract. I cannot afford a new phone.

Another MTN store offered to send it in again.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE send it back in working condition this time.
