Unauthorised billing

I have a contract with MTN where i got a laptop and modem with 500mb per month for R 199. Then suddenly from last month i noticed that my account has doubled yet i did not use my modem at all for two months. I inquired MTN and they informed me that i have a subscription with Opera Telecom where you can download movies, videos etc. I never heard of this company and i will never subscribe to such rubbish. MTN send a request to cancel the subscription and i also contacted them. My question is how did they gain access to my number and to bill me? Seriously no more privacy in South Africa.
