Last year July (2012) I was due for an upgrade. I went to Game and the consultant advised me that I get a "FREE SHOPPING GIFT" voucher with the contract option and device I chose. Last week I called Cell C and asked to migrate this contract to a Straigh 30 (topup). the consultant advised me that I would have to pay R30 and a further amount for the device. The consultant last week advised me that the amount for the device (LG C105) should be around R30 (estimated). I agreed to this. On Saturday at 13:45 I received a call from Octavia. She stated that the amount will be R206.00. I asked her why the amount is so high as compared to what the initial estimated figure was for the device as the difference is huge. She stated that because there was a voucher included thatI would have to pay for???
Why do I have to pay for a "FREE" voucher, meaning this "Free Gift Voucher" is included in my current monthly subscription? This is a money making scheme by Cell C.
