Vodacom incompetent and UNRELIABLE

I am appalled at the service received from Vodacom, on the 14th of Jan I made a call to the Vodacom call centre (082 111) to activate the roaming on my mobile (082 525 6419) after a long call I received the terms and conditions which I agreed to and called the centre back with the reference number as instructed to do (Ref 633135) I was advised that the roaming has been activated, but to my dismay when I arrived in London I could not use my cell phone as it said no service, I asked my husband to call Vodacom as this is costly to call from London and put up with a lengthy call again, they were unable to assist and neither did they bother to check whether the roaming was activated as requested and authorised on Monday the 14th by myself. I called today (Thursday 17 Jan) to find out what issue is there and the person was so rude and said that it was not activated in the first place, this is absolutely incompetent and such an inconvenience, Vodacom cannot be relied on to perform a service! The person and it cost me to make different calls and not able to easily access transport etc because I did not have a mobile phone with a service provider to make any calls.
