From reliable sources and phoning around I came across Mark who is responsible for 8ta/Telkom mobile franchising.(His mobile is 0813124358) I spoke to him the first time in February and he asked me to send a site proposal. He never acknowledged my mail until I called him. Subsequent to that I would call and go to voicemail and/or phone would ring on end. I went to the Telkom head office In Proes street, PTA after the launch of Telkom mobile and before I knew all the leads took me back to Mark as responsible once more. On the 17nth May I finally got hold of him and he told me that because of the financial year end I should contact him middle of June. In the interim I see franchises opening up everywhere and its business as usual. I still dont know how much the franchise costs and requirements to set one up.
