I had been with Telkom for over 6 years and was happy with their speeds etc. I somehow got entrapped into Afrihost scheme as they promised that in my area (FERNDALE) they'll be able to provide me 4MB line uncapped. After learning this, I immediately switched over to them in July 2012. Ever since I moved, I had been calling the call centre at least once in 2 weeks to check as to why the speeds were so low despite me being charged for 4MB line. After battling for 9 months, I finally cancelled my account with them and moved over to Vodacom 3g where Im enjoying speeds of avg 5-7 MB. When I raised this with the accounts dept a week ago, I was assured that someone from their support division would call me to address this and its been a week and no one has cared to call or contact me. If this is the kind of service these guys render, Im sure they'll be in the bin pretty soon. Their CEO sends attractive emails, flaunting what they offer but its nothing but load of just like their service. Totally disappointed and disgraceful service.
