Anyone else having issues with cancelling there account?

Well iv been trying to cancel my account for the past 3 months, LONG story short i finally get somewhere last month, and one of Webafricas staff send me a mail back saying "We will cancel the account at month end" (email to prove that, wont mention names) now they contact me saying that i have to pay cause there is usage on the account?

I was told it would be canceled, so what i need to ask is, i use a Mikrotik with 3 concurrent accounts running, if i was told it would be canceled is it really up to me to make sure that its cancelled?

I worked for an ISP and i know that this is not how operations are run...

Not to mention, that i tried for the past 3months to use there online customer zone to cancel, which says successful but just doesn't amend..

But yet im still being held liable to pay???

Very upset with this situation as iv been patient with them sorting out that issue, but cause there system isnt working i get the heat
