Already paid for a service that gets cancceled

Already billed for the complete month and expected to pay for a service that gets cancelled within 24 hours on the 7th day of the month, how can this be? Am I not entitled to get my complete months service?
And why then charge me double to re-activate it, so that I get what I paid for?
