No service after 6 weeks

I moved homes and need my telkom line transferred for ADSL. It has now been 6 weeks and still they have not moved my line. They keep saying there are not enough ADSL ports available in my area, and cannot tell me when they will be available. But of course they have still charged for the all this time that i have had no service.
I have called the call centre countless times to get an estimate of when they may actually have ports and have my service running, but they only ever tell me that someone will contact me - but no-one ever does.
How can they not have ports in my area - it is a major area! I have now had no internet for 6 weeks and it would appear that i will not have internet any time in the future. They said please understand sir that is costs money and takes man power to install these new ports - well how about you use my money and the 1000s of other ppl who have to pay for no service and get the ports installed. I need internet as I work at home and now I have to use extremely expensive USB modem data, so not only am i paying R500 for no ADSL, but also up to R700 for USB data.
