On the 6th March 2013, my husband Ashraf Parker and myself Yumna Parker went into Virgin Active in Athlone to cancel our membership. The lady that helped us said they needed written confirmation of cancellation. Which we did and she cancelled our contracts with them. She said that we needed to give 20days notice, and our contract would end @ the end of March. On the 1st of April my husbands' account was debited with R403.00. I spoke to Rugaya @ virgin active's call center and she said my contract was never cancelled. Only my husbands' was. This is very strange because we both were present and we both requested that our membership be cancelled. I am requesting a refund of R403.00 because we did follow the correct procedure to cancel membership and we did not money was not budgeted for this deduction. I am very disappointed with the poor service we received from virgin active!
