Why am I paying someone elses Gym fees???

I noticed that for the months of Jan and Feb, money was deducted from my Bank account by Planet Fitness. I am not a member there and live in a Province where Planet Fitness does not feature. I called their Head Office to sort this problem out, and was assured it was. Yet, the very next month, even more money came off my account, and yes, from Planet Fitness. I don't know why it is so hard to fix this problem and refund the money what is due to me. The response i keep hearing from them, after I have to keep calling, is that it was a typing error, which might be true, but that typing error is now costing me and my debit orders not to go through. It is so easy to take money, but when it comes to returning it, now there is all the paperwork that has to be completed?
