Termination of contract

I entered into a twelve month contract and tried to cancel my membership recently. I have PCOS and is undergoing fertility treatment now, There is a clause in their contract about medical hold. I referred to my local branch and they replied that I will still be responsible for the fees after the hold is lifted - which will be not be for years. They have NEVER done an assessment on me - which to me refers to their part of the signed contact. They are who is only interested in your money, but not in your wellbeing.
