I opened an account (3 year lump sum) at Planet Fitness Claremont in July 2012 with the promise I'd be able to gain a free 12 month membership for anybody of my choice. 3 months later I found a friend to accept the membership, I forwarded the necessary details to PF. Behind my back they swindle him into purchasing a contract, stating that his ineligible cause he once used the gym before. At no point does it state anything of the sort in the contract. Obviously he believes there story over mine and goes ahead with the purchase. Now after seeing my contract and speaking to a lawyer we approached PF asking for this mess to be fixed. They have only ever replied to one email of mine (after sending 4) and after eventually getting a meeting with the manager (Him admitting to the mistake and apologising), now 3 months down the line, he just smiles at me and has never once contacted me explaining how their mistake will be rectified. In the meantime my friends account is still being debited and we both can't understand whats the hold up. Myself and my friend are hoping our lawyer will get our contracts cancelled with a full reimbursement of our monies. Horrible service and customer care.
