It has been brought into my attention that my client was unable to cancel her contract with Virgin Active today and was informed by Portia at the call centre and was told that she will have to pay a cancellation fee of R3180.00, how pathetic. my client joined the gym because she had a Liberty policy and own your life rewards now which were both cancelled as she cannot afford them anymore and we are not charging anything for that. At sales stage no one informed the client that she was signing a life away. in a sales process this was suppose to be discussed. A client is already owing the bank R800 as the bank charged her for unpaids when the client asked for her account not to be debited. Im sorry, this needs to be rectified immediately as this is non disclosure and will take this up with my attorneys and we have FAIS act in place for things like this. I will take this up to ambudsman, client already has to pay that amount to the bank and now R3180? im sorry its not going to happen! PLEASE CANCEL THIS CONTRACT AND DO NOT BEDIT HER ACCOUNT FURTHER MORE.
