Contract cancellation without consultation

I requested a transfer from Plattekloof to Aurora. I paid the fee and filled in the required forms and was told over the phone that all dependants are transferred with me (recorded call). Once it was actioned I went straight to gym in Aurora, eager to get back. I was embarrassed when I was allowed in but my girlfriend (dependant) was not. I queried this and PF told me that her membership was terminated because she did not have the same surname as me, according to company policy. I was furious. We were not married yes, but we signed a sworn affidavit stating that we are cohabitating and this was deemed acceptable. In November I was given a letter stating my contract would continue as on a month-to-month basis. There was no problem then. It only came up when the transfer was actioned. I have asked repeatedly over the past two week for this to be sorted out and the people responsible have not even had the decency to reply to my queries. In the meanwhile I am paying for gym and not able to use it because of PF's incompetence and no fault of my own.. If this is not sorted, I feel I should be reimbursed for every penny I spent on this "illegal" contract that I was obliged to pay.
