I just received a call from MBD Inc. saying I owe Virgin Active R781. In 2013 my contract was cancelled due to Virgin Active not receiving premiums. The reason is that I change banks and was unaware that the premium was deducted from my closed account. Only after a few months I received a call from Virgin Active Head Office saying my account is in arrears. I was told if I paid R568.50 my membership would be active again, I went to Virgin Active George to pay the amount and was told then according to the system that even if I pay the outstanding amount I would also have to pay the sign-up fee again, I asked for assistance but as it was past 19:00 none of the sales consultants was in office and till today I'm waiting for someone to contact me. The following day I e-mailed Virgin Active regarding the sign up issue. Then they said I have to pay the sign-up fee again. What makes me angry is the fact that I had a month-to-month contract meaning that if I missed one payment my membership would be paused until my account is settled. I'm saying again I will gladly pay the outstanding amount of R568.50 but will not pay to sign up again.
