Apparently Virgin Active have the mind-set that they can at any time of the month send you a debit order and it doesn't matter that you have an agreement with them on when they are to send you a debit order (I.E THE FIRST OF EVERY MONTH!).

I have had such a struggle with VA in December this last year because they debited me on the 30th of November 2013 for Decembers subscription fee of R312.50 (my agreement is the 1st of every month) I then get a phone call from the lady in charge of my account saying that the debit order was unsuccessful which it would be because no debit orders go off my account then, we sorted it and came to the conclusion that it was VA's fault and the R115 that I had to pay in bank charges because of it would be credited to my account and I would only have to repay the outstanding bal of 197.50 in January 2014. On the 17th of December 2013 yet another debit order is sent for R312.50? I had to pay yet another R115 in bank charges and have subsequently cancelled my contract yesterday 31/12/13 having to pay R298.50 to cancel it. So in total this month I have paid VA 298.5 115= R413.50.

Being a full time student money doesn't grow on trees.. Thanks for NOTHING!!
