Accounts department need some work

6 Years ago I moved from JHB to CT for work. My wife and I had just joined planet fitness and used the gym about 3 times. Before we moved we transferred the gym membership to another couple (we all went to the gym and did the paperwork) - the other couple did this so they did not have to pay the joining fee. End of story you think?
Well, a couple of years ago I get a call asking what was going on with my planet fitness payments? I explain the story and think that`s the end of it. Then a few months later same thing - I explain the story but say send me on the documents you have and I will try and get the dates etc that we did the transfer (6 years ago!) but I hear nothing.
Then last week I get a text to call Saya recoveries re my Planet Fitness account to avoid further action!! How many times do I have to explain myself? Why has this only been brought to my attention years later when I don`t have the paperwork? I surrendered my cards at the time - does nobody check anything there?
