I'm being debited but yet I cancelled my contract

I cancelled my contract on the 21st of October, paid the cancellation fee as requested by the head-office, and yet my account has been debited on the 30th of November. The debit order should have had stopped by the 21st of November, so they have not cancelled my contract.
