2 years ago I signed up at Planet Fitness, with my Edgars Club discount option. The consultant at Rosebank even made a copy of my card and verified with Edgars that I qualify for the 30% discount.

For the past 2 years I have been paying the incorrect amount (the amount did not include my discount).

I had eventually gotten hold of Monique in their admin department who advised that this was rectified, when in fact it hadn't. Numerous emails and electronic requests for their assistance had been logged and still nothing!

I now want to cancel my membership due to my bad experience (this isn't the first... took them 8 months to do a transfer of clubs) and now they want me to pay a cancellation fee (Consumer Protection Act and Law of Contracts dictate differently) as Planet Fitness has not performed in terms of their contractual obligation.

It has taken a month, emails, telephone calls and a performance before I got through to an unhelpful lady. My problem remains.
