Deducting money elegally

In 2008 I took out a planet fitness membership and paid for it in full by credit card for the next 3 years. At the end of the contract I requested them to stop my membership as I did not use it in the first place as I should have. This was done late 2010. This morning I got and SMS stating that they just deducted money from my account. According to them I owe them /-R14000 since December 2010. I filled out a form where they have asked me to say if I want to continue or not with my membership where I declined to continue with my membership. Who give these guys the right to just deduct money as they like without my consent. Never in the past two year have I even received a statement from them and all of the sudden I owe them R14000.00. I want this sorted and my money paid back to me. These people should sort their accounts out. Never in the past 3 or so years have I ever had a phone call or any correspondence whether by e-mail or post.
