I firstly would like to say that Constantia Virgin Active is amazing, yet the one thing that has upset me was the way my contract was dealt with. I was previously on Discovery Medical Aid, but when i turned 21 my Discovery Medical Aid no longer applied and therefore my contract had to change, witch is understandable.
The problem however was that I automatically was switched to the most expensive contract possible. I was in utter shock when R570 was deducted from my bank account. I firstly am a student, I can only access the gym between 8-4 and then 7-close and the only branch i can access is Constantia.
I then called and was informed that there where so many numerous options that allowed me to access any branch at any time that worked out cheaper to the automatic shift Virgin Active moved my contract to. This made me extremely upset because i felt "ripped off" that I had been paying a contract that was unrealistic for a student to afford.
I am a huge fan of Virgin Active so it disappointed me when my best option/interest was clearly not taken into consideration, I was not informed of the change of contract and I was not approached with my various options.
