Charged but i did not agree to a contract

Vigina active representative attended out health day on 20 September 2013 nad said he will give me a free trial for a week and then he will call me to see if I decide to take the contract. he made me sign for the card I was supposed to use and give my bank details just in case I wanted to take on the contract then I wont have to fill it in.
Today, money debuted for my account and the call center tells me I have a 24 month contract. I did like Virgin Active and was seriously considering taking it on but the lack of ethics is astounding!
