For six months now, I have been trying to tell Virgin Active that our contract is over and that i don't owe them a cent. They tell me that a Retention call was made and therefore they will continue to debit me.
I never received a Retention call and never agreed on reinstating the contract. Victoria promised me that the balance will be written off and the account will be closed - now she don't even respond to my e/mails.
Instead I receive these threatening letters that my account will be handed over to collections. I never defaulted once on a payment during the contract period, why will I default now? Today I called again and spoke to Bianca at their Head Office Call Centre and was promised a call back from Victoria. I heard that story to many times before and just don't believe them anymore. This is what the NCA is prohibiting and they are continuing with their old tricks.
