Last year I joined in at Virgin Active at the UJ campis health awerness day. I then became a member immediately as my contract was for a year and would be ending on the 31st of August. On November I froze my account for two two months as there is no Virgin Active in my hometown. After the 2 months I called again to freeze my account for a further 6 months I had relocated from Auckland Park and was now staying in Roodepoort and couldn't go to any Virgin Active close by as I don't have any transport. After my last deduction in August, I called to cancel the contract bt I was told that they were going to deduct the September fee as I did not call mid-month to cancel my contract. At the beginning of the month 309 was deducted from my account. I had only signed a contract for a year, I don't understand what made them think I'm renewing my contract after it shows in their system that I haven't been going to gym for 8 months. When I asked this it seemed that nothing could be done to reverse my money. I want my money back as I had only signed a contract for a year. Why is it that they do not ask us if are we still renewing our contracts before they deduct that amount. Please help.
