Debit Order against bank acc raised illegitimately

After I was told that my Discovery membership lapsed since I didn't visit the gym the minimum req times during the revamp period of over 6 mths at the gym. The reason was plainly that there were no cloakrooms available, but be as it may, I then enquired what I can do to reactivate my membership. I was told that I can pay a card fee and once I receive my tag, I can re-activate my membership by entering. Due to the inability of the gym to issue a tag to me (out of stock?? or just plain inefficient??) I decided that I'm not going to waste further time and told them that they can cancel everything, I'm no longer interested. For 8 mths I haven't heard from them, but in April 13 a debit order was loaded against my bank account and R 285 was deducted. I have been unable to get any proof from Planet Fitness to validate that I owe them anything or that they actually have a valid debit order on file. They are not able to do this and has in fact agreed that they haven't got anything on file. To get the debit order cancelled and to get a refund for the 5 months that they've taken money from me seems to be an impossible task. I need help to stop this once and for all!
