I go to gym to feel better about my body and my health. But today I got off the phone after a call from the gym feeling furious and shaking with an ager I was failing to hide from my colleagues. I was called to be told that I had to provide a slip as proof that I had paid for my gym tag. I had paid for this tag at the gym three weeks ago! I was also not warned that I would have to keep my slip. I was threatened that if I did not find the slip, they would be cancelling my gym membership. Should the gym be threatening their customers in the middle of a work day because they have not kept their records correctly?
Because I did not wish to waste the money I had paid and have my membership cancelled, I was forced to print my personal bank statement in order to prove to the gym that I was not lying when I said I had paid. I am shocked that the burden of proof is put on the customer because the gym has faulty record keeping.
I love the equipment and the trainers at the gym. But the attitude of the admin staff is argumentative and abrasive!!
