Incompetency

I have a fix term contract with this gym which was to expire in February 2013 but because 1 froze it for three months it was suppose to end at the end of May 2013. That's what I was told when I went in to the gym to enquire in March.. today surprisingly I get a message from my bank with their debit order gone through, I call to enquire and they tell me I should've written a letter stating that I don't want the contract anymore. I personally went in March and I was not told but I clearly stated that I want the contract cancelled, now I'm paying and suffering for someone's incompetency with an attitude.. I want this resolved its not my fault their stuff is unreliable.
