I noted that Planet Fitness had unilaterally decided to increase my membership fee by 500% without any contact or communication. I contacted the Rivonia Branch Manager in the middle of March regarding this matter, received written advice from Planet Fitness about what options they suggest, at the end of March. I met with the manager on 8 April to discuss these options and after being informed that they could not retrospectively allow me to change my membership to Discovery, decided on the next available option (reluctantly). Manager undertook to formalise this change of membership fee and confirm same to me. When no response had been received by 19 April, I sent an email to the manager confirming my understanding and requesting that the matter be resolved. No response has been received from the manager todate, despite seeing him often during my training and reminding him of the matter. Also advised him that I have put a stop payment on the 500% debit order automatically being deducted from my account, to which he advised that that was no problem, as they owe me money. On 18 May my access to the gym was blocked and despite raising this matter with the manager, no response todate!
