We bought a Kenwood Major Titanium & various attachments (>R10k) from Hirsch's Centurion last year. 2 of those did not fit (due to mislabeling by Kenwood). We returned them in October 2012. It took Hirsch's SIX MONTHS, and an umpteenth angry visit from us, to finally get the parts (one is an ice-cream maker, purchased for the summer, and received in winter!); nobody ever called us - we had to keep chasing them, wasting precious personal time every weekend to ask them when they would have our attachments, and listen to their lame excuses (simply to cover their inaction). If we had not refused to relinquish the fight, the R3k worth of equipment would never have arrived.
When they finally delivered the parts, it was without any conciliatory or apologetic gesture from Hirsch's, who clearly do not find a SIX MONTHS WAIT an inconvenience worthy of making amends for. Buy for cheaper your culinary equipment online or in knowledgeable, welcoming specialist shops, as this incident has taught us; Hirsch's is only friendly and helpful with customers before they part with their cash. You are on your own afterwards. And they have no qualms about their cynical absence of customer service.
