Hi
I bought an external hard drive in June last year, there is a 2 year warranty on the product. the hard drive stopped working. I called in and they said they will exchange it.

Here is where I have a problem, I need the info that is on that hard drive and I was told that I have to pay for the recovery of the info or they will do it for my but then I loose my warranty.

I strongly feel this is unacceptable. firstly losing my warranty is not an option nor losing my info or having to pay to retrieve it from a product that is faulty 7 months after purchase.

Can someone please assist on this matter
