A couple of weeks ago, I bought a black dress from Fasion Express in Maynard Mall. I tried it on in the dressing room. However, when I tried it on at home again I discovered how see-through it actually was. I did a quick search for the slip, however I could not find it. I was not overly concerned as I had not removed tag.
To my annoyance, I went into Blue Route a week or 2 later and remember to bring the dress along, I was informed by the manageress that "we do not swap, refund without the cash slip". Did I mention "their tag" was still very much attached (a rail with the exact same dress rigth next to me)? I asked her how they could really uphold such a policy and what happens when one buys a gift for someone else? She informed me that I would need to tell staff it was a gift so that they could do a special voucher. I was utterly irriated and pointed out that there is no other shop, Woolworths, Pick 'n Pay, Edgars, Mr Price etc that carried such a pathetic poilcy as people purchased gifts all the time and there was always an expectatin that it might not fit or they could then exchange the item for something else in the shop. I did not want my money back, just an exchange. Left MAD!
