Absolutely Disgusted

February 2012 I went shopping at checkers in eastgate as I have always done for many years even when I was a little girl. Whilst filling up my trolley I purchased a R5.40 Samoosa. I ate the Samoosa whilst shopping, it was given to me in a open packet at the deli counter. I have done it for years & NEVER been told it is not allowed. Whilst shopping I had a man watching me & following me throughout the store which had me feel very uncomfortable especially with the circumstances us South Africans live under, always having to watch our bags and backs. I kept the package wrapping to pay for it at the till. At the till I waited in line for over 25minutes & put the wrapper in my pocket also clenching onto my bag feeling uncomfortable. I paid for EVERYTHING coming to over R350.00. As I walked out the store flustered & rushing to get away from this man he told me I had. I got SUCH A SHOCK! Then I clicked about the samoosa, I said I'm sorry I have paid for everything asked to pay. He took me to the manager & the manager said I will be arrested because he can't let a white person off even though I offered to pay & it was a mistake! I was arrested for R5.40 & taken to the police station
