FALSE ADVERTISING

I am very disappointed with the service I received from Truworths Sandton City on Monday, 08/04/2013. I bought an item that was marked down from R230 to R150. When I came home I realised that the discount wasn't given. I had to drive all the way back to ask for the discount after phoning them about it. When I arrived there, they told me that they can't give me the discount as it is meant for the Wednesday sale. They were told by the manager that if a customer brings a red labelled tag, they musn't give them the discount. I asked the manager why do they put the clothes out there with discount prices if you are not liable to get discount and nowhere in the shop does it indicate that marked down merchandise are meant for the Wednesday sale. She said that it says so in the window and that I must understand that they have a big shop and they must put it somewhere. Interesting that my item was right at the front as you walk into the shop. The only words that I could find in the window was: "The real sale starts10/04/2013 at 12:00" Nothing in the window or in the shop indicates that marked down items are meant for this Wednesday sale. Is this the way they do business? Unacceptable!
