I bought a bag worth R3000. Within the week, the zipper comes off. I put it back on with the intention of returning to the store to ask them to tighten it. I was travelling at the time. Literally on day 8 of having bought the bag the decorative leather tussle on the bag zipper comes off at which point i conclude that this was defective product to begin with and either want to Exchange or get a refund. The manger MOTHUPI PHINITHI informs me that neither is possible because the bag has been used, the best he can do is repair the bag. I reply that i am not prepared to accept a product which was clearly defective to begin with, to which he replies, :'Well that's all you're getting". Its company policy he says. I say show me where it's written and he says it's not because it's common sense. He calls head office to confirm and comes back saying head office confirms his view but still cannot show me where its written. Head office does not speak to consumers directly nor is the number available for consumers to use. If i was selling defective goods to consumers i suppose it makes sense to hide behind store front managers who have no decision making power. I will not take this lying down.
