I took a watch for a service. I was quoted minimum R700, informed that it entails polish, check all parts working, advised that if anything needs to be fixed or replaced it would cost extra. Requested them to call if this is the case. Specifically asked them to have a look at the links as a few were loose.
Informed that the service would take no longer than 3 weeks. This was perfect I would get it back a week before my event. Week1, no call; Week2 no call, eventually I called them, advised they need to contact the watchmaker and call me back. I got no call back. I called the next day, same story, contact watchmaker then call me back no call back again.
After complaining, I get assured watch will be ready the day before my event. when i get there, the pin i asked them to look at is still loose. then fix it then. 2 weeks later i come back to have link removed, they say they cant do so because all the links on strap is loose/damaged and need to be replaced. this was supposed to be discovered in service!! watch was a gift now i have to take it away from my wife and have pins replaced. At no point were they willing to accept blame and kept shifting blame to next person. POOR CUST SERVICE
