I have been an account holder for Joshua doore since 2010 and have been in good standing until 2011 when i lost my job. I went to their Branch in Johannesburg CBD to report my case and was informed to pay 350 every month in order to keep my account in good order. Due to reasons known to me i defaulted for six months which lead to the company taking legal action against me. The process meant that the item had to be taken back to the shop. I did not have any problem with the process, but i had an issue with the manner in which this was done. Firstly, the item was taken from my home without me signing for it. Secondly, my neighbor was asked to sign the document which was an infringement of my right to privacy. Thirdly, when i was approach by the agent that was sent, he indicated to me that i was irresponsible and needed to use by body to find money to pay for the account. Fourthly, when we went to pay the outstanding amount, the item was brought back damaged. We lodged a complain with the shop who then gave us the email address to the contact person at JD group to investigate. We were given the reference number and since then the matter has not been resolved. We ask for your help.
