Bad service

We go frequently shopping at the baby city in Kensington and I must say, I got used the bad attitude of some of the staff members. I also did complain several times in store about the employees. Today they surprised me again.
The lady at the pay point sat nicely on her seat and could not reach in the shopping basket standing on the counter to get the baby food out. So she requested the jars to be taken out by me the customer. I told her that if she would stand up like her colleague busy with another customer, she could easily reach everything in the basket. She replied that it is customers responsibility to empty out the basket.
As it was on me to pay and the credit card transaction got declined, she told me gloatingly that my card was declined. I asked her to please try it again what she did. In the meantime I checked the error report and told her that the fault is on her side since the credit card device could not connect. She did not respond and luckily the transaction went through with the second attempt.
The bad attitude is one thing but trying to humiliate a customer in front of other customers is something else.
