Woolworths Products Quality and Hygiene

Shops, Products, Services

I am utterly disgusted and disappointed with Woolworths. A company who claims quality and hygiene with their food items has really let the consumer down.

I purchased microwave potatoes on 23.02.13 from Glenvista store, had an expiry date 28.02.2013 and we kept it refrigerated until 25.02.13. After preparing them on 25.02.13, we noticed they were not good quality, they were hard, rubbery and dry. We had to throw all of them away as they were disgusting. I complained about this directly and they responded by giving me a R50 gift card.

I bought a rotisserie chicken from the Olivedale store on 25.02.13 and to our disappointment when we sat down for dinner, the chicken was raw on the inside, we could only eat certain portions and threw away the rest. The store manager responded by giving us a free chicken.

The worst experience was on 10.03.13, I purchased a large Rosa salad from The Glen Woolworths store on (08/03) and on Sunday (10/03) we opened it, mixed in our salad dressing and started eating only to find a disgusting green worm in it. I am bringing it to the Olivedale manager to send to head office. But I mentioned to him i do not want free things, I want quality!!!
