Do not want to exchange damaged goods

My children received a magic slush for Christmas. We were away on Holiday and they could not use it. Yesterday I wanted to wash it as per the insructions. One of the ice cubes were broken, the liquid was insit the container. This morning I contacted Verimark to enquire where I can exchange the faulty one for a new one, only to be told sorry, you did not buy is, you do not have a slip and therefore we can not exchange it.

It was a Christmas present - I did not ask for a slip to go with the presents!

I contacted the branch in the Vaal Mall and thought they will be more helpfull, but the manager said, sorry 15 days passed and you can not exchange it. It has not been used as we were not home, I'm sure the normal rule of 15 days should not matter over the festive season. I'm utterly discusted with the attitute of Verimark. They can sell you damaged goods, but do not dare to try and get it replaced as they will have an excuse every time.

I will never buy anything from Verimark again, I will just cost me more at the end of the day.
