Non-existent customer service

I went over to the Commercial Road branch of Game in Pietermaritzburg to purchase an external hard drive. I looked at what they had and decided on an externally powered 2TB hard drive in one of the glass cabinets. There was one person working the floor who was busy with customers already and three staff members sitting at a counter nearby (in the same section). I explained to them that I had limited time and I already made up my mind on what to get, but it was insisted that I wait for the other guy. I waited until my time ran out and had to leave unsuccessfully purchasing the item I wanted.

This is the first time in my whole life where I've seen staff at a retail outlet bluntly refuse to assist a customer with a sale and the "I don't care it's not my job" attitude I perceived did not help the matter. I am speechless. This was the lowest level of customer service I have ever witnessed, not only experienced.
